Reaching Out

food
The St. Anne's Outreach Commission carries the love of Christ beyond our campus. Our main project is a food box ministry for senior citizens, delivering two weeks' worth of food to a dozen households every month. In 2009, we supplied enough food for more than 5,000 meals in Tift County. We take care in selecting the freshest and healthiest non-perishable foods available for our recipients, and we strive to accommodate dietary restrictions. When possible, we add fresh products and homemade treats, because we believe that all of God's children deserve the very best.

During the Christmas season, we coordinate a "Giving Tree" to provide special gifts for residents at a local nursing home. The church youth accompany us as we deliver the gifts and sing carols to each individual. The Outreach Commission also coordinates environmental stewarship projects in our parish community--such as bulletin recycling and providing alternatives to styrofoam--to reduce our community's negative impact on God's creation and all who live and move in it.
