Bad Things, Good People

When Bad Things Happen to Good People
“Why do bad things happen to good people?” is one of the most important and perplexing questions of the human experience. With death, layoffs, broken relationships, and other losses, how do we make sense of it all when life seems arbitrary and unfair?

This summer, Fr. Lonnie will help us tackle this question during Adult Sunday School utilizing the book When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Rabbi Harold Kushner. While this book is a light, easy read, it is also packed with wisdom, insight, and plenty of food for meaningful conversation. It is considered by many clergymen, counselors, and therapists to be one of the best and most honest works on this gripping subject. This special series will run from May 30 to August 8 during Adult Sunday School in the Parish Hall. (Class will not meet June 27 and July 4.) You can order copies of When Bad Things Happen to Good People by clicking on the book cover to the left.

Notes from each class session are provided below.
