Vestry Nominations
The following persons have been nominated by the Nominating Committee for the Vestry election Sunday, January 28. From this list of names, the parish is asked to elect five persons to fill vacancies of those rotating off the Vestry. The term of office is three years. The nominating committee consisted of: Deborah Haswell, Senior Warden, Ann Clayton, Glenda Johnson, Bettie Sue McDonald, and Jeannie Rigdon.

Chris Beckham - Chris has lived in Tifton since 1999 and has attended St. Anne's since 2000. He works with The Spearman Agency, an advertising and marketing firm in Tifton. He is originally from Thomasville and attended Thomas County Central High and Valdosta State College, where he majored in English and Journalism. He is active in several civic organizations, serving on the board of the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence, the Tifton Arts Council and on the Tifton advisory board for the Southwest Georgia Food Bank. He is also the volunteer chairman for the Salvation Army and is a member of the Tifton Exchange Club. He and his wife Stacey have two sons, four- year-old Chase and nine-month-old Jackson.

Jarrett Haswell -Jarrett was born and raised in Tifton and attended Tift County Schools. He has been a member of St. Anne's since 1980, when he was baptized by Father Bush. He is employed by Master Craft where he works with forklifts and irrigation units. Jarrett married in April 2006 his wife Traci, who is also a member of St. Anne's, and they plan to raise their family in this church. He volunteered to teach Sunday School for the 2006-2007 year to help St. Anne's growth and expansion in this important ministry. Jarrett is surprised and honored for the nomination to be a part of St. Anne's Vestry.

Skip Hill - Skip has been a member of St. Anne's in good standing since 1997. He has previously served on the vestry and currently serves as an MC. Skip was born and raised in Tifton, a graduate of Tift County High School and Georgia Southern University. he has worked in the Health/Life insurance industry for seventeen years. He is  the owner and principal agent for Skip Hill and Associates, a company he founded in 2002. He enjoys piloting for Angel Flight organization, travel and hanging out with his kids.
 Skip and his wife Nikki continue to be excited about the future of St. Anne's and look forward to his children Jordan, 9 and Jake, 6, becoming active in the church through the acolyte program and many other youth oriented programs.

Mike Lackey - Mike is a life long Episcopalian and has recently  become a member of St. Anne's. He is a lay reader and wants to become more active in the life of the church. He graduated from Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and attended the University of Missouri and the University of Georgia. Mike and his wife, Jackie, reside in Sylvester, and have a son and daughter and five grandchildren. Mike's hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing and traveling.

Brenda Lever - Brenda is a native of Montezuma, Georgia, and a graduate of ABAC. She has been married to Jim for thirty seven years, and is the mother of two and grandmother of five wonderful grandchildren. Brenda owned and operated a catering service for approximately twenty years, and worked as church hostess for the Tifton United Methodist Church for nine years, owner of Uniquely Yours Bridal since 1987, and past president of the Downtown Merchants Association. Brenda has been a member of St. Anne's since 1995, has been a member and past president of the ECW, Stephen Minster, has helped with Lenten Luncheons, and served on the Memorial Garden Committee.

Joyce Mims - Joyce is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. She received her Master's and Education Specialist degrees from Valdosta State University and was a classroom teacher in the Turner County School System for fifteen years before becoming an administrator in the Tift County School System. She retired from the Tift County School System in 2004, after having served thirty years. Joyce has served on the Tifton-Tift County Arts Council, Board of Directors of PLIGHT, Inc., Leadership Tifton and the Board of Directors of the Tiftarea YMCA. Joyce is founder and president of Mims Kids, Inc., a youth organization devoted to exposing youth ages 5-15 to the arts. She is married to Larry Mims. They are the proud parents of MJay, 19 and San, 23. The family has attended St. Anne's since 2003, have each been confirmed in April of that year. Joyce has worked with the Youth Sunday School program and Vacation Bible School while at St. Anne's.

Ray Moreno - Ray has served St. Anne's in various capacities since becoming a member seventeen years ago. He has taught Church school, served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, and sung in the Choir. He has demonstrated his desire to see St. Anne's develop its youth and family ministries by spearheading the construction of the children's playground and the family pavilion. Ray is married to Kathy, his sweetheart of twenty eight years. The have three children ages 25, 23, and 20, and a beautiful new granddaughter.

Royal F. Rankin - Life member of St. Anne's. Baptized in 1948. Served in U.S. Army 1967-1970. Returned to Tifton in 1982 . Served in the past as Junior Warden, Senior Warden, and Income Treasurer. Helped plant all original shrubbery and initial landscaping including sprinkler systems. Designed pews and kneeling rail for New Church in 1985 and 1986. Helped build mahogany Cross for Christus Rex. Designed new Parish Hall in 1988. Supervised construction in 1989. Redesigned and helped construct Organ Chamber Opening for placement of New Pipe Organ in 1994. Married to Debra Connor since 1971. Two children Tift, 30 and Elsa, 29. One grandchild David, 10, in 5th Grade at Spencer Elementary.  Registered Architect since 1988. Office at 415 North Tift Avenue. Reside at Lake Wisteria - 542 Mount Olive Church Road.

Loraine Sullivan - Loraine is a Tifton Native, and graduate of the University of Georgia. She is married to Jack (46 years) and has two married daughters, Holly and Rebecca. Loraine and Jack joined the Episcopal Church in approximately 1964 and were active in the organization of the mission church, St. Anthony's in Winder, Georgia. They returned to Tifton approximately ten years ago. She is active with the Altar Guild and Choir. St. Anne's is an important part of her life.

Christine Tibbetts - Christine Tibbetts is a lifelong Episcopalian, born into the church in Plainfield, New Jersey. She currently serves on the vestry, filling an unexpired term. She is a trained Stephen Minister, and the coordinator of the St. Anne's Needlepoint project. A journalist by profession since 1970, she is the owner and president of Tibbetts Communications and a partner in Blackmarr, Tibbetts & Associates. Christine is the mother of two sons and the stepmother of three sons and a daughter. She has been married to G.W. Tibbetts since 1978. Community organizations with which she volunteers are the Kids Advocacy Coalition and Child Care Resource and Referral Agency, the Tift Area Foundation for Women's Health and Hospice of Tiftarea.
